MailDepth

Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-30 · Last updated 30 October 2026

In short: MailDepth reads your mail on your own computer. Your mails, attachments, file names and searches never reach us. We only know your e-mail address, a random ID for your computer and the state of your subscription.

1. Who is responsible

Feridun Çakır, Yenişehir Mah., Eşref Bitlis Blv. No: 23, Pendik, İstanbul, Türkiye is responsible for the personal data described here (the "controller"). Questions and requests: support@maildepth.com.

2. What stays on your computer

MailDepth runs inside your web browser. When you add a mailbox, it is read on your computer and the search index is stored in your browser's own storage on that computer. This includes the text of your mails and attachments, copies of attachments you choose to keep, and your settings. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. You can delete it at any time under Mailboxes & data, or by removing the site data in your browser.

When MailDepth reads a scanned document in a language it has not used before, it downloads that language's recognition data from maildepth.com once. The request only shows which language file was needed. The document itself is never sent.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of MailDepth subscriptions. Paddle processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details. Paddle tells us whether a subscription is paid, its period and the e-mail address it belongs to.

5. Service providers

They process data only on our behalf or under their own terms as described. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

6. No tracking

MailDepth uses no advertising, analytics or tracking tools and sets no tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage is used only to keep you signed in and to store your settings and search index on your computer.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it or to restrict its use, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to support@maildepth.com from the e-mail address of your account. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Deleting your account does not delete the search index on your computer, because we have no access to it. Remove it under Mailboxes & data, then Delete all data.

8. Children

MailDepth is not intended for children under 16.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change matters for you, we will tell you in MailDepth or by e-mail. The version and date are shown at the top.
